The National Song Festival 1976 was the national preliminary decision of the Netherlands for the Eurovision Song Contest 1976 . It took place on February 18, 1976 in the Congresgebouw in The Hague . After the Netherlands won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975 , the Eurovision Song Contest should also take place there.
There were changes compared to previous years: English-language titles were now also allowed in the preliminary round. In addition, there were again several candidates who sang different songs.
The decision was made by regionally split jury voting. There were eleven juries, one for each province ( Flevoland was only added in 1986). Each jury was able to award 10 points.
