Nature (* Jermaine Baxter ) is an American rapper .

biography

Nature went to school with Nas . This discovered Natures rap talent.

From then on, Nature appeared on the intros of some recordings by other musicians, for example on the self-named debut album by Allure .

He then became part of The Firm project run by Nas, Steve Stoute , Dr. Dre and the Trackmasters and consisted of the rappers Nas, Foxy Brown and AZ in addition to Nature . Together they released a longplayer in 1997, which reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 . Nonetheless, due to high expectations, it was viewed as a flop.

Nature then devoted himself to his solo career. First he appeared as a feature on works by other artists, for example on "Pieces of a Man" from AZ, "The Professional" by DJ Clue and "NORE" by Noreaga . In August 2000, after several delays, he released his debut "For All Seasons" on Columbia Records . The album reached position 50 in the US charts, but fell off the list after just two weeks.

In May 2002 "Wild Gremlinz" followed on the independent label Sequence Records. This long-player was also able to get into the Billboard 200 again, but with 150th place still lagged behind the success of "For All Seasons".

In the following, the publications under his own name did not take place at first, but Nature was increasingly heard as a guest artist on the works of other hip-hop musicians. From 2002 to 2008 he made contributions to Guess Who's Back? by 50 Cent , "The Piece Maker 2" by Tony Touch , "The Streetsweeper Vol. 2: The Pain from the Game" by DJ Kayslay , "Thug Matrix" by Tragedy Khadafi and "My World" by Ron Artest .

In 2008, Natures' third album "Pain Killer" was released. However, it no longer achieved commercial importance. This also applies to the music by Nature that was released afterwards. These include the four EPs of the “Seasons Changed” series , released from 2013 to 2014 , which were also released together as a compilation in 2015 , and the three-part mixtape series “The Ashtray Effect”.
