The Kamptal-Schönberg area is protected as a nature park and includes the lower reaches of the Kamp in Lower Austria . The nature park extends over the municipality of Schönberg am Kamp and is freely accessible.
Natural sights
The specialty of the nature park is the river landscape of the Kamp with small-scale floodplains, the forest areas on the western slopes of the Manhartsberg and the partly terraced vineyards near Stiefern and Mollands . it belongs to the Kulturpark Kamptal .
Built sights
A wine trail, a river trail and a forest trail have been set up in the area of the nature park. A nature park information center is located in a historic smithy in Schönberg am Kamp. There is a historic calvary between Plank am Kamp and Schönberg am Kamp . The Kamptalweg and the Kamp-Thaya-March cycle route cross the nature park.
A few kilometers north is - high above the Kamp - since the 12th century, the Rosenburg , where besides theater also birds of prey flight demonstrations take place.
