Oak Quarry Nature Reserve
The Eichen quarry nature reserve is a 3.61 hectare nature reserve north of the village of Eichen (Attendorn) and the Listertalsperre in the urban area of Attendorn in the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It was designated in 2013 by the district council with the landscape plan No. 1 Biggetalsperre - Listertalsperre .
Area description
The NSG is an abandoned quarry with still waters. The water serves as a spawning area for amphibians. The NSG is a breeding habitat for the eagle owl .
