Naura is a district of the municipality of Golmsdorf in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia and belongs to the administrative community of Dornburg-Camburg .

geography

Naura is located at the exit of the Gleistal into the Saale valley at 160 m above sea level. The wooded slopes of the Gleisberge rise north of the village . About 200 meters to the east is the Beutnitz district and 50 meters south of the Gleise river is the main town of Golmsdorf. A branch of the medieval trade connection from Erfurt to Altenburg (now state road L 2307) ran through the district of Naura .

history

The place was first mentioned on February 14, 1321.

economy

The small town has always been closely connected with Golmsdorf and Beutnitz. On October 2, 1905, the Eisenberg-Porstendorf railway section was put into operation. It led right past the village. It was discontinued in 1969 and is now a popular cycling and hiking trail. After the reunification , a new building area was developed and built on.
