The Navy and Army War Fund Shield was a one-off football cup competition in Scotland. It was fought in 1918 during the First World War . All proceeds went to football players and their families who fought or died in the war. It was intended to hold an annual tournament. However, the war ended that same year. No trophy was presented to the winner. The competition began on March 9, 1918 and ended with the final on May 4, 1918 in Hampden Park in Glasgow . In the final of the Navy and Army War Fund Shield , Celtic Glasgow and Greenock Morton faced each other. Celtic won the final with a goal from Patsy Gallacher 1-0.
