Neal Boortz (born April 1945 in Bryn Mawr , Pennsylvania ) is an American author, former radio host and talk show host .

Neal Brootz was born in 1945. His father was a Marine Corps soldier . He began his career at a college station in Texas during his time at Texas A&M University . He worked in Atlanta as a speechwriter for the Governor of Georgia . After graduating in 1977, he worked as a lawyer and hosted radio shows at the same time. In 1992 he became a full-time host at Clear Channel Station WSB-AM Atlanta . In 1999, Cox Radio , the operating company of WSB, began offering its show as a syndication nationwide. In 2013 the show was discontinued.

Positions

Boortz advocates a smaller government and more individual freedom. At the 2004 Libertarian Party National Convention, a number of MPs campaigned not to let Brootz speak. The reason was that Boortz spoke out strongly in favor of the war on Islamist terror and the fight against illegal immigration. He wrote u. a. the Fair Tax Book .

Radio show

Neal Boortz's show reached 3.75 million listeners weekly and aired over 200 stations. Its home station was WSB-AM.
