Nebenau is a subsidiary of the Kandern district of Wollbach in the district of Lörrach ( Baden-Württemberg ).

With a population of almost 100 people, Nebenau is next to Egisholz the smallest sub-community of Wollbach. It is five kilometers south of Kandern and 2.5 kilometers northeast of Wollbach.

The first documentary mention reveals a settlement in 1436 through church manuscripts, but finds from the Celtic and Roman times prove earlier settlements.

There is a historic lime kiln in Nebenau .

With the incorporation of the community of Wollbach, Nebenau came to the city of Kandern on March 1, 1974.
