Nebetneferumut (also Nitokris I. ) was the eldest daughter of the ancient Egyptian king Psammetich I ( 26th dynasty (Saïten dynasty)), who as the new adoptive daughter of Schepenupet II. The new name Schepenupet III. received.

In the ninth year of his reign, Psammetich I handed over his daughter Nitokris, who became Amun's wife , for adoption to Schepenupet II and her daughter Amunirdies II.
After arrival, combined with a sixteen-day trip on the Nile , recognition as an adoptive daughter or sister of the Nitokris took place with the Ipet-per certificate.
Before traveling Nitokris was I. with numerous lands in seven of her father Psammetich above and four under Egyptian districts equipped. In addition, Psammetich I set her monthly income, which the priesthood had to give her.
The Nitokris stele
The historically very informative text was written on a stele made of rose granite , which is 188 cm high, 145.5 cm wide and about 84 cm thick. The weight of the stele is over six tons . The stele, found in 1897 in the forecourt of the Amun-Re Temple in Karnak , is now with the inventory number Jd'E. 36327 in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo .
