Partulesi necropolis

The necropolis of Partulesi is located about one kilometer west of the village of Ittireddu in Logudoro in the province of Sassari in Sardinia .

The complex of the 26 Domus de Janas , which lies between the end Neolithic Ozieri culture (3200–2800 BC) and the Eneolithic , is located on a rocky outcrop made of tuff . The original number of systems was greater, and many graves were destroyed. The rock tombs are arranged on different levels on the ridge. They are systems consisting of several chambers, some of which are closely spaced. Most have a short dromos carved into the rock for access, some have direct access.

Several of the necropolis' facilities have niches and are decorated with motifs in relief. Typical architectural elements of contemporary houses such as cornices, pilasters, plinths, steps and false doors are carved into the rock as bas-reliefs . Similar motifs and designs can be found in the Sa Pala Larga necropolis .

Tomba XIV stands out among the installations of the Bronze Age (1800–1600 BC). Similar to Pesciarzos , Sa Figu and Sos Furrighesos, the unusual (only about 50 specimens) rock grave is provided with a front designed as a portal stele in the style of the giant graves , but here it is incomplete and hardly recognizable.
