Neomariania is a genus of butterflies from the family of Stathmopodidae .

The representatives of the genus are native to the Azores .

The biology of the species is unknown.

Systematics

The genus Neomariania was originally placed by Rebel as the genus Mariania in the family of the fringed moths (Momphidae). Later she assigned Riedl to the rotten wood moths (Oecophoridae). The genus is currently included in the Stathmopodidae family, but the taxonomic position is uncertain. The type species of the genus is Neomariania partinicensis ( Rebel , 1937).
