Neoplan N 90x Telebus Unibus Clubliner
The Neoplan Telebus N 906 T was a special low-floor - Midibus of Auwärter Neoplan , in 1979 for the project Behindertentransport in Berlin ( "Telebus") with the financial support of the BMFT by the Hamburger Hochbahn - subsidiary Hamburg Consult (HC) and vehicle Falkenried ( FFG). Since March 27, 1981 it has been produced in the new Berlin Neoplan plant IV Spandau. The stepless entrance to the bus was via a double-winged swinging door in the rear, which could be lowered to the floor so that wheelchairs can enter directly. In the Berlin Telebus project, 33 such vehicles were used from December 1981.
The basic design with the diesel engine at the front next to the driver's seat was also offered for normal passenger transport , for which the bus was given the name Unibus N 906 . This had no rear door and no lowering device, but only a double door between the axles. A version with an additional door behind the rear axle was produced for Arthur Franke Messebus KG in Berlin. Depending on the version, these vehicles were up to 7.2 m long. Both versions were used at various trade fairs or special events such as the Museum Night in Berlin. Many models have been sold to neighboring Eastern European countries. In 1982, a high-floor version followed with a trunk under the floor for travel, which was called the Clubliner N 907 . A total of over 300 of all models were produced.
The line buses were replaced by the N 407 (SK1). The prototype had the designation N 506, the pilot series N 905. An N 905 was owned by the DB and was used as an on- call bus in Friedrichshafen . The Berlin company Der Tempelhofer had several standard N 906 T telebuses as well as a shortened custom-made product with a length of 5.2 m, which was later used as a ticket sales vehicle for city tours .
There were also special designs for banks as rolling branches. Such a model was later converted into a THW vehicle. The N 907 was custom-made as an ambulance and for intensive care transports. A private RV conversion has also been spotted.
