The Neudorfer community pond is a reservoir in the middle Lower Harz . A left tributary of the Schmalen Wipper is dammed behind an earth dam . The pond is part of the Unterharzer pond and ditch system .
description
The reservoir is located in the middle Lower Harz ( Saxony-Anhalt ) on the southern edge of Neudorf at the confluence of the municipal road with the Pfaffenberg road , which runs over the top of the dam. The dam is about 110 meters long and stores 6000 m³ of water, the level of which is about 415 m above sea level. NN lies. In addition to the right tributary of a tributary of the Schmalen Wipper, the Neudorfer Graben was temporarily dammed. The drainage takes place via the dammed stream into the Neudorfer small pond 1 , a pre-barrier of the Neudorfer art pond . Its current use is unknown.
history
The first mention of the Neudorfer communal pool dates back to 1777. The year of construction is unknown, but could be related to the 1761/62 of purchase of the rights to use the water from the in Stolbergischen established part of today's Lower Harz Pond and grave system by Anhalt -Bernburg stand.
In 1792/93, the Neudorf drainage system was expanded as planned. In the course of this, the connection between the Anhaltische Graben and the Schmalen Wipper was separated and the comparatively low-lying border pond was no longer supplied with water via the Silberhütter Kunstgraben . Instead, in 1793 the Neudorfer community pond was connected to the Silberhütter Kunstgraben via the Neudorfer Graben .
Thus, not only the Meiseberger cycling art could be applied, but also the Neudorf art pond could be supplied with additional water. From 1817 to 1890, additional water could be brought in from the Kalbsaugenteich via the Neuer Graben, which flows into the Neudorfer Graben . After the mining of Neudorf ceased in 1903, the Neudorfer Graben was drained and partly filled in so that the pond had to make do with the little water from the flowing stream. After that it was only used as a fire extinguishing and fish pond .
