Neunkirchen am Main
Neunkirchen am Main (officially: Neunkirchen a.Main ) is a district of the Markt Weidenberg in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth . The village is located at the confluence of the Red Main and Ölschnitz rivers .
history
Neunkirchen was first mentioned in 1323 as "Newenkirchen". The current church was built in 1467 and consecrated to St. Laurentius . Its 50 meter high, four-story church tower with its onion helmet can be seen from afar. The parsonage in the Franconian style dates from 1820. The place was incorporated on January 1, 1978 in the market Weidenberg .
