The house Neustädter Kirchhof 14 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt on the south side of the Neustädter Kirchhof, south of the Sankt-Nikolai-Kirche . It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is listed as a rectory in the Quedlinburg Register of Monuments . It is also known as the school of the Neustädter Parochie. Alleys run both to the west and east of the house to Kaplanei Street to the south.

Architecture and history

The two-story, elongated half-timbered house was built in 1706 as a new rectory for the Sankt Nikolai parish. Extensions were made in 1710 and 1823. There are dating inscriptions on the threshold of the building. The inscription JGSTEGMAN ZIM refers to the expansion of 1823 . on Johann G. Stegmann as carpenter. Pyramid beam heads are used as decoration . The compartments are provided with different decorative walls. The doors of the building are lavishly designed.
