Never Die Alone is a German metalcore and death metal band from the Thuringian district town of Schleiz .

Band history

The band was founded in 2004 by the three young musicians Andreas Klüger, Christian Bräutigam and Sebastian Förster, who are still part of the current line-up today. A short time later the group was completed with the second guitarist Johannes Hammerschmied and bassist Christian Puhlfürst. Inspired by befriended bands from the local area, such as B. Fall of Serenity and Narcissus , the first demo recording was made in April 2005 in the well-known recording studio Rape Of Harmonies in Triptis . In the songs played on it, all of the lyrics were still sung in German. The backing vocals were partly sung by former Fall-of-Serenity singer and today's deadlock bassist John Gahlert. The demo was released in May 2005 on its own.

After many more appearances, e.g. B. with Deadsoil and Born from Pain , Never Die Alone came into contact with the band Raw Edge from Eisenach , who were still looking for a partner for a split CD . Before the recording, guitarist Johannes Hammerschmied was replaced by Norman Meier from the band Bad Habit . The split CD was sung entirely in English and was released in May 2006 on No Panic Records . After further concerts with u. a. Maroon or Heaven Shall Burn followed in January 2007 with a 9-day tour through Germany. Never Die Alone was accompanied by the befriended band HAL from Austria . After the tour, guitarist Norman Meier left the band, as did bassist Christian Puhlfürst. The latter was replaced by Carsten Huhn from the Hunted Bastards . Norman Meier was not replaced, so that Never Die Alone officially only played four people.

In September 2007, the band went to the Rape Of Harmonies studio again. In the meanwhile second studio in Schmölln the first complete album was recorded, mixed and mastered with Havoc . More concerts followed, including a. with Agnostic Front , Hoods or The Sorrow . In August 2008, however, the band suffered a severe blow of fate when their rehearsal room burned down completely. Never Die Alone lost all of his equipment and was forced to a temporary standstill. Only with the support of numerous other bands and concert organizers was it possible to put together new equipment with donations in kind and income from various benefit concerts. After overcoming this low point, a label for the release of the studio recordings was found in addition to the new rehearsal room. The debut album Havoc was finally released in November 2008 via Darkest Hour Music , a sub-label of Maintain Records , as well as the Twilight distribution and was available worldwide.
