Nicholas James Sebastian Rowe (born November 22, 1966 in Edinburgh , Scotland ) is a British actor .

Life

Rowe is the son of a member of parliament. He attended Eton College and the University of Bristol and came into contact with acting while studying. This earned him the lead role in the film The Secret of the Hidden Temple . The portrayal of the young Sherlock Holmes was Rowe's first, but also the only major role. In the following years up to the present day it appeared with increasing frequency, primarily in British television films and series. Cinema appearances like in Bube, Dame, König, grAS or in Enigma - the secret has been rare so far. In 2015 he had a cameo as Sherlock Holmes in the movie Mr. Holmes .

Rowe, who has a BA in Hispanic Studies from the University of Bristol , lives in London . He dated actress Lou Gish for six years until her death in February 2006 .
