Nick Boraine

Nick Boraine (born November 14, 1971 ) is a South African actor .

life and career

Nick Boraine was born in 1971 and graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a degree in performing arts in 1994. He has been an actor since 1997 and can be seen primarily in South African productions or in international films and series shot in South Africa. His father, Alex Boraine , is a former South African politician who was, among other things, vice chairman of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission .

Boraine initially played smaller roles in series such as Binnelanders or Scout's Safari , before becoming internationally known from 2014. He played the role of Alan Hensleigh in the fourth season of the spy series Homeland , which is set in the Pakistani capital Islamabad , but was filmed in Cape Town . This was followed by the role of Peter Ashe in the series Black Sails .

Boraine also played supporting roles in films such as I dreamed of Africa , District 9 and Money Monster .
