Nicholas James Easter (born August 15, 1978 in Epsom ) is an English rugby union player . He plays as number eight or winger for the England team and the Harlequins .

Easter spent a year in South Africa before starting his professional career with Orrell RUFC in 2001 . In August 2004 he moved to the Harlequins. There he was named Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006. In February 2007 he played for the England Saxons for the first time , the reserve of the actual national team. A few months later he was already in England's squad for the World Cup . In this tournament he was used six times in the starting lineup and was one of the key players in the final of the English, who only had to admit defeat to South Africa . In the run-up to the World Cup, he had made four attempts against Wales , a performance that no other player in his position had achieved before.

Due to an injury he dropped out at the start of the Six Nations 2008 , but played a key role again in the further course of the tournament. In the game against France , he was voted player of the game. He was used in all four games of the November Tests and also secured a place in the squad for the Six Nations 2009 , where he was part of the starting lineup in all games.

His father John Easter was a European and vice world champion as a squash player .
