Nick O'Hern (born October 18, 1971 in Perth ) is a left-handed Australian professional golfer who played both the European Tour and the North American PGA TOUR .

Career

He started playing golf at the age of nine. His father was a good amateur golfer and also played on the Australian baseball team . Nick inherited his athletic skills, played for Western Australia's baseball team, was also a talented tennis player , but eventually chose golf and became a professional golfer in 1994 .

O'Hern qualified through the Tour School for the European Tour of the 1999 season and has been playing there ever since, without any tournament success, but with many top placings - in 2004 alone he recorded eleven top 10 places. In the European winter he competes in the PGA Tour of Australasia , where he has already celebrated five victories.

In 2005 O'Hern also started on the PGA TOUR , where he initially acted on an invitation basis due to his good world rankings and from 2006 onwards he received full eligibility to play due to his Presidents Cup membership.

Nick O'Hern has been married to his wife Alana since 1993 and has two children. Both of his homes are in his hometown of Perth and in Brighton, England .
