Nickolas Grace

Nickolas Grace (born November 21, 1947 in West Kirby , Merseyside ) is a British actor .

Life

Grace trained in acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama . He made his theater debut in 1969 and made his first appearance in London's West End the following year . In 1972 he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company . Between 1976 and 1978 he starred in The Comedy of Errors at the side of Judi Dench and Roger Rees . In 1982 he played Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Peter Shaffer's Amadeus at Her Majesty's Theater .

Grace has guest roles on British and American television series such as The Professionals , Max Headroom and The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones . He gained greater fame in German-speaking countries through his portrayal of the Sheriff of Nottingham in the British series Robin Hood in the mid-1980s. His film roles include Evita and A Perfect Husband . He also works as a spokesperson for radio play productions in the Doctor Who series.
