Nico Perrone

Nicola Carlo Perrone (born April 27, 1935 in Bari , Italy ) is an essayist , historian specializing in the 18th and 20th centuries, and a journalist .

Life

Perrone has been Professor of Contemporary History and American History at the University of Bari since 1977 . He was visiting professor at Roskilde University in Denmark and Copenhagen Business School (1992 and 1993) and Copenhagen University (2003) in 1991 . Perrone was visiting professor at the University of Padua in 1981 and 1999. In 1986, Perrone was made an honorary citizen of the US state of Nebraska .

From 1982 to 2006, Perrone was a freelancer for public television broadcasting in Italy ( RAI ), various daily newspapers and magazines and, in 2001, for West German Broadcasting . From 2005 he was editor of the magazine Storia in Rete , and 1980 to 1984 editor of America (Dedalo Verlag), a series of books about the United States.
