Nicolás Rodríguez , full name Nicolás Alejandro Rodríguez Charquero , (born July 22, 1991 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Depending on the sources, 1.78 meters, 1.80 meters or 1.83 meters tall defensive player Rodríguez emerged from the youth team of the Montevideo Wanderers and was at the beginning of his career at least from the Apertura 2010 until the end of the 2011/12 season in the top division the Wanderers. Last season he was used in three games in the Primera División . He then moved to league rivals Cerro Largo FC on loan in mid-2012 . There he played another 23 games in the top Uruguayan league. For the 2013/14 season he went to Romania , where he joined Corona Brașov in Kronstadt . With the Romanians he ran once in the league and played two cup games. In 2014 he returned to Uruguay and joined Club Atlético Rentistas . There he played in 20 top division games (three goals) in the 2014/15 season. He also played one of the club's two games in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 (no goal). In the Apertura 2015 he was used in eight top division games (no goal). At the beginning of February 2016, he moved to Plaza Colonia within the league , where he played two more first division games in the Clausura. This was followed by eleven league appearances in the 2016 season and one in the 2016 Copa Sudamericana . At this station he remained without a competitive goal. In January 2017, the league rival River Plate Montevideo signed him .

National team

Rodríguez took part with the Uruguayan U-20 selection at the U-20 South American Championship 2011 and was runner-up in the South American Championship. He was used three times during the tournament. He didn't score a goal.
