Nicolaus Richter de Vroe

Nicolaus Richter de Vroe (born February 1, 1955 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German composer and violinist .

Life

Richter de Vroe attended the special school for music in Dresden . From 1972 to 1973 he studied composition and violin at the Dresden University of Music . From 1973 to 1978 he then studied violin with Vladimir Malinin at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. From 1980 to 1983 he completed his studies in composition with Friedrich Goldmann at the Academy of Arts in Berlin (East). He also attended seminars in electronic music with Georg Katzer .

From 1978 to 1980 he worked as a chamber musician and in 1982 co-founded the Ensemble for New Music Berlin. In 1980 he was engaged as a violinist at the Staatskapelle Berlin . He has been working for the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1988 . In 1989 he founded the Xsemble Munich. In 1996 he was co-initiator of the Munich Society for New Music and a guest at the Goethe Institutes in Buenos Aires, Kyoto and Prague. He is the representative of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra for the Musica Viva concert series . In 2008 he became a member of the Saxon Academy of the Arts .

His works have also premiered at renowned festivals for new music , e. B. several times at the Berliner Festwochen, Biennale di Venezia , Donaueschinger Musiktage , Festival d'Automne à Paris, Sound Actions New Music Munich, Music Biennale Berlin , Musica Viva, Styrian Autumn and Witten Days for New Chamber Music .

Richter de Vroe lives and works in Neu Temmen ( Uckermark ) and Tutzing .
