Nicole Brüngger-Skoda (* 1977 in Neftenbach ) is a former Swiss figure skater and ice skating trainer at the Winterthur Ice Skating Club (WSC). She was the trainer of the former Swiss champions Bettina Heim and Romy Bühler .

Career

In 1992 she became Swiss champion in figure skating for women. Two years later, she finished 16th at the 1994 Junior World Championships . In 2000 she was third again at the Swiss Championships behind Sarah Meier and Kimena Brog Meier . At the World Figure Skating Championships in 2000 , she was allowed to represent her country as the only starter, but only finished 39th and was eliminated after qualifying.

After her sporting career, she made a name for herself as a successful ice skating coach at the WSC. Her protégés, including the Swiss champions Bettina Heim and Romy Bühler, also competed in international competitions. Her coaching staff includes familiar faces such as the seven-time Swiss champion Patrick Meier , Christina Eicher and Eva Fehr , Sarah Meier's long-time trainer .

Private

Nicole Brünnger-Skoda studied law at the University of Zurich . She is also the managing director of the Promovere Foundation. Nicole Skoda has been married to handball coach Adrian Brüngger , the coach of Pfadi Winterthur , since 2007 .
