Niederkam is a district of the municipality of Kumhausen in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1971 it formed an independent municipality.

location

Niederkam is located about two kilometers south of Kumhausen in the Isar-Inn hill country on federal highway 15 .

history

The community of Niederkam emerged in 1818 from the tax district of the same name . It belonged to the regional court , district office and finally to the Landshut district. It included the places Ehrnstorf, Eierkam, Englberg, Grammelkam, Grillberg, Kalteneck (connected with Kumhausen), Kumberg, Kumhausen , Kumpfmühle, Niederkam ,preiseberg, Rammelkam, Seitenberg and Walpersdorf. On January 1, 1971, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, the previously independent municipalities of Obergangkofen , Windten , Niederkam and Götzdorf merged to form the new municipality of Kumhausen. Ehrnstorf and Englberg came to Landshut at the same time .
