The Konzer Bach , called Niedermenniger Bach in the upper reaches and Maiersbach in the lower reaches , is a 6.4 km long orographically right tributary of the Saar in Konz , Germany, in Rhineland-Palatinate .
geography
The Konzer Bach rises west of Krettnach at an altitude of 219 m above sea level. NN . First flowing to the north , the course at Niedermennig turns in a wide arc to the west and feeds the reservoir of the Niedermennig oil mill. Then it flows through the little concert valley in a westerly direction . After the largely piped flow through Konz , the Konzer Bach flows into 129 m above sea level. NN on the right into the Saar, just before it flows into the Moselle .
The creek overcomes a height difference of 90 m on its 6.4 km long path, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 14.1 ‰. It drains a 16.034 km² water catchment area via the Saar, Moselle and Rhine to the North Sea .
Water condition
The Konzer Bach is one of the coarse material rich, silicate low mountain range brooks (type 5). Its water structure quality is mainly given as strongly to completely changed. Only a few short sections are considered to have been significantly changed. The water quality is given as moderately polluted.
