Nikola Huppertz

Nikola Huppertz (born May 7, 1976 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German writer .

Life

Nikola Huppertz was born as Nikola Zerbes in Mönchengladbach in 1976. She studied violin at the Folkwang University in Essen / Duisburg and psychology at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

She works as a freelance children's and youth book author in Hanover, where she lives with her two children. She also writes poetry and stories for the radio. Huppertz is a member of the Association of Women Authors , the Society for Contemporary Poetry and the Friedrich Bödecker Circle .

The manuscript for her debut novel "Karla, Sengül and the window to the world" won 1st prize in the 2007 literature competition "Meine Nachbarn" at Bonn's Migration Book Fair and was published in 2009 by Thienemann Verlag .
