Nikolaos Chatzis (born May 2, 1976 in Stuttgart ) is a former German-Greek soccer player .
Career
The midfielder spent his youth in football at VfL Wangen (now SportKultur Stuttgart) , a club in the Stuttgart district of Wangen , until he moved to the youth department of VfB Stuttgart . However, he did not make the jump to the second team and left VfB in 1993 and played for SpVgg Feuerbach . There the Stuttgart Kickers noticed him and Chatzis initially played in the second team of the Kickers . But already in the following season he made his professional debut in the 2nd Bundesliga on August 18, 1996 when he played against VfB Oldenburg .
After six years at Waldau, he left the Blauen and played in the following years for SG Sonnenhof Großaspach and in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg for 1. FC Pforzheim and SV Waldhof Mannheim . For the 2004/05 season, the Stuttgarter Kickers signed him again and Chatzis completed 23 more games in the jersey of the traditional club.
At the beginning of 2006 he moved to the land of his ancestors, Greece. There he was on the ball for Diagoras Rhodes in the third division for two years before ending his career as a footballer after various posts in Cyprus.
Nikolaos has been a player advisor at fair-sport GmbH since 2012.
