Nikolaus Brem

Nikolaus Brem (born October 25, 1877 in Augsburg , † June 2, 1957 in Munich ) was a German Roman Catholic clergyman.

Career

Brem was ordained a priest on July 11, 1900 in Augsburg. His time as chaplain took him to Mering and Nördlingen . Bishop Maximilian von Lingg brought him into the administration of the diocese as state secretary in 1906. During the First World War he served as a divisional chaplain of the 10th Bavarian Infantry Division .

At the request of the Munich Metropolitan Chapter, Pope Pius XI. Brem to the cathedral capital . He was sworn up on June 28, 1923. From 1923 to 1928 he was a member of the general board of the Catholic People's Association. From 1923 he was first chairman of the Catholic youth welfare association of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising .
