Nikolaus Deligiannis

Nikolaus (Nikolaos) Deligiannis ( Greek : Νικόλαος Δελιγιάννης) (* 1844 or 1845 ; † 1910 ) was a Greek politician and Prime Minister .

Deligiannis came from one of the most respected families of Langadia (Λαγκάδια Αρκαδίας) in the Peloponnese . His father Peter Deligiannis was Foreign Minister during the reign of King Otto I. His uncle Theodoros Deligiannis was Prime Minister five times.

Deligiannis began a career in the diplomatic service. In 1870 he became Chargé d'Affaires in Paris . He then was envoy to Belgrade from 1880 to 1886 . In 1886 he was appointed envoy in Paris.

From January 24th to June 11th, 1895, he was Prime Minister of a transitional government.
