Nikolaus Holzapfel

Nikolaus Holzapfel (born September 27, 1847 in Zeuzleben ; † December 4, 1920 there ) was a farmer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Holzapfel attended elementary school from 1854 to 1864 and took over his father's estate in Zeuzleben in 1872 and has been a farmer since that time. From 1881 to 1887 he was a church caretaker, from 1884 a calculator for the Zeuzleben loan association and from 1885 a field jury. He was also a member of the Werneck agricultural district committee and chairman of the Christian farmers' association . From 1894 he was an alderman and holder of the Royal Badge of Honor for 25 years of voluntary fire service.

From 1873 to 1875 and from 1899 to 1907 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies and from 1898 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Lower Franconia 5 ( Schweinfurt , Haßfurt , Ebern ) and the German Center Party .
