Nikos Gabriel Pentzikis
Nikos Gabriel Pentzikis ( Greek Νίκος Γαβριήλ Πεντζίκης Nikos Graviil Pendzikis ; born October 17, 1908 in Thessaloniki , Ottoman Empire ; † January 13, 1993 ) was a Greek intellectual and writer of the generation of the 1930s who published under the pseudonym Kosmas Stavrakios .
Life
Pentzikis was the son of Gavriil Pendzikis (Γαβριήλ Πεντζίκης, † 1927) and Maria Ioannidou (Μαρία Ιωαννίδου). He completed a natural science degree in Paris and continued his studies in botany and pharmacy in Strasbourg (until 1929). In 1930 he took over his father's pharmacy and from 1933 tried his hand at painting. During this time he said goodbye to the Christian Orthodox tradition. As a writer , he published his first work, Andreas Dimakoudis , in 1935 . At the same time he wrote articles for magazines. He belonged with Alkiviadis Giannopoulos (Αλκιβιάδης Γιαννόπουλος), Georgios Delios (Γεώργιος Δέλιος) and Stelios Xefloudas (Στέλιος Ξεφλούδας) to the School of Thessaloniki ( "Σχολή τής Θεσσαλονίκης") within the generation of the 30s . After his retirement in 1969, he returned to painting and other projects. He was a member of the Society of Greek Writers, the Society of Writers of Thessaloniki and the Athens Chamber of Art. He called himself the "Play-Graph" because he used innovative techniques such as inner monologue or associative writing. His work moved between reality and fantasy.
In 1948 he married Niki Lazaridou (Νίκη Λαζαρίδου), with whom he had the son Gabriel. He was buried in Ormylia (Chalkidiki).
Andreas Dimakoudis
Andreas Dimakoudis (gr. Ανδρέας Δημακούδης) is a student studying abroad. He met many people and fell madly in love with the student Renee Saiger. It corresponds to all of his ideas, but it rejects him and Andreas tries to concentrate on other things first. After a while, he sexually gets closer to his housekeeper, but rejects her because he still has to think about Renee. In winter he follows Renee to her hometown, where she cancels him again. He tries to surprise her and win her over. He decorates himself with flowers, gets sweets and lets himself be carried to her room in a huge box. But Renee cannot be softened. Heartbroken, he throws himself into a river.
