Nils Erik Hjelmström (born August 29, 1915 in Råneå , Luleå , † October 17, 2003 in Båstad ) was a Swedish ski jumper .

Career

Hjelmström jumped at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sollefteå in 1934 on 49 and 54 meters and ended up in 18th place.

Two years later, Hjelmström was part of the Swedish team at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . In the individual on the normal hill he was 13th after the first round with a jump to 68 meters, but fell back to 16th place after a weak second round.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1938 , Hjelmström started again. However, he missed the jump into the top 50.
