Nils Turesson Bielke

Nils Turesson Bielke (born November 5, 1569 in Hörningsholm , Sweden ; † December 17, 1639 ) was a Swedish statesman from the noble Bielke family , a member of the Imperial Council .

Career

Nils Turesson Bielke, son of Ture Pedersson Bielke , studied in Rostock and later in Siena. He was an ardent supporter of Duke Karl , who appointed him Kansliråd , deputy director of the empire in 1602 . In 1605 he became governor of Tallinn and the province, in 1606 a member of the Imperial Council and in 1608 a judge. In addition, he and his brother were raised to the rank of baron .

Treaty of Knäred

He was a Swedish delegate in the negotiations before the Treaty of Knäred in 1613 after the Kalmark War .

Judge

In 1614 he became assessor of the Svea hovrätt in Stockholm and in 1623 first president of the court of appeal in Turku and governor of Finland .

Personal life

Nils Turesson Bielke married Ingeborg Oxenstierna in 1605 and had eight children with her:

  3. Christina Bielke (1609–1609)
  4. Carin Bielke (1612–1694) married Axel Gustafsson Banér (1594–1642) in 1641

  6. Svante Bileke (1620-1645)
  7. Brita Bielke († 1669) in Stockholm married Baron Gustaf Persson Banér (1618–1689)
