Nina Frausing Pedersen (born June 20, 1991 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish soccer player.
Life
Frausing Pedersen was born in Copenhagen in 1991, but grew up in Silkeborg , where she attended Silkeborg Gymnasium until 2010. Pedersen studied International Trade & Development in the United States for four years ; initially two years at the University of Texas at Austin and then two years at the University of California, Berkeley , where she graduated in International Business and Entrepreneurship in spring 2014.
Career
In the club
Frausing Pedersen started her career at IK Skovbakken, where she moved up to the first team in summer 2008. After a season at Skovbakken, she decided to study in the United States. For two years she played for the Austin Longhorns, the Women Soccer Team of the University of Texas at Austin and from 2012 to spring 2014 for the Golden Bears, the Athletic Team of the University of California, Berkeley. After a total of five years in the USA, she returned to Europe in the summer of 2014 and signed a contract in England with Liverpool LFC . After playing in eight FAI Premier League games, she decided to move to Germany in January 2015. On January 5, 2015, she signed a contract with 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam until June 30, 2016. On February 15, 2015 Frausing Pedersen celebrated her debut for Potsdam in the women with a 5-1 defeat against 1. FFC Frankfurt -Bundesliga . At the end of the season her contract was dissolved and she played briefly at Fortuna Hjørring and FC Rosengård . In the 2016/17 season Frausing Pedersen was active for the Australian first division club Brisbane Roar .
International
In addition to her club career, the central defender played in the Danish U-17 national football team, with which she played the 2008 U-17 Women's World Cup in New Zealand . In addition, she ran in several games of the U-19 and U-23 Denmark. On July 31, 2014 she was nominated for the first time for the Danish senior team. She made her debut on August 21, 2014 at the age of 23 in a 1-0 win over the Icelandic women's national soccer team .
