Nina Stepanovna Kinjapina

Nina Stepanovna Kinjapina ( Russian: Нина Степановна Киняпина ; born December 10, 1920 in Kadom , † October 11, 2003 in Moscow ) was a Soviet - Russian historian and university professor .

Life

Kinjapina graduated from the History Faculty of Moscow University (MGU) with honors during the German-Soviet War in 1942. She then worked as a teacher in a middle school.

In 1944 Kinjapina began teaching at the Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO) as an assistant at the Department of General History . In 1950 she moved to MGU and stayed there until her death. For a long time she was vice head of the chair for Russian history of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Her focus was Russian foreign policy in the 19th century. In 1949 she defended her dissertation , supervised by Nikolai Michailowitsch Druzhinin , on Russian- Austrian relations around 1830 for her doctorate as a candidate in historical sciences.

In 1965 Kinjapina defended her doctoral dissertation on Russian industrial policy in the second quarter of the 19th century for a doctorate in historical sciences. In 1966 she was appointed professor . Her students included Nadezhda Evgenyevna Ablowa , Oleg Rudolfowitsch Airapetow , Viktor Michailowitsch Besotosny , Ruslan Suleimanowitsch Bsarow , Vladimir Anatolyevich Georgiev, and Vladimir Vladimirovich Degoyev .
