Ning Zhongyan (born November 3, 1999 ) is a Chinese speed skater .

Career

Zhongyan started the World Cup for the first time in Obihiro in November 2018 and finished 16th in the mass start and in the B group over 1000 m and tenth place. At the individual distance world championships in Inzell in 2019 , he came 14th over 1000 m and 12th place in the mass start. After finishing second over 1000 m in Minsk and in the team sprint in Minsk and Tomaszów Mazowiecki at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, he won his first World Cup victory over 1500 m in Nur-Sultan and took second place over 1500 m in Calgary . In January 2020 he became the Chinese four-way champion in Harbin . At the 2020 World Individual Distance Championships in Salt Lake City , he won the silver medal in the team sprint. He also ran there on the 16th place over 1000 m and on the fourth place over 1500 m. At the Sprint World Championship 2020 in Hamar , he finished 12th. He finished the season in fifth place in the 1000 m World Cup and second in the 1500 m World Cup.
