The place is five kilometers northwest of Altenpleen. The neighboring towns are Kinnbackenhagen , Bisdorf and Batevitz in the northeast, Groß Mohrdorf and Klein Mohrdorf in the east, Günz in the southeast, Buschenhagen in the south and Neu Bartelshagen and Zühlendorf in the southwest.
