Neu Bartelshagen is a district of the municipality of Niepars west of Stralsund in the Vorpommern-Rügen district .
Geography and traffic
The local area borders on the southern bank of the Grabow , part of the Darß-Zingster Boddenkette . About nine kilometers west of the village is the city of Barth and about 20 kilometers east of the city of Stralsund .
Buschenhagen , Lassentin, Neu Lassentin and Zühlendorf belong to Neu Bartelshagen .
history
After belonging to the Principality of Rügen , Neu Bartelshagen fell to the Duchy of Pomerania in 1326 . After the Thirty Years' War until 1815, the area belonged to Swedish Pomerania and then to the Prussian province of Pomerania .
On January 1, 1951, the name of the municipality was changed from Buschenhagen to Neu Bartelshagen . The community was then part of the Franzburg-Barth district until 1952 and then belonged to the Stralsund district in the Rostock district until 1994 . Neu Bartelshagen has been part of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since 1990. With effect from May 26, 2019, the community was incorporated into Niepars. The last mayor was Horst Badendieck.
