Noël Kokora-Tekry

Noël Kokora-Tekry (born March 8, 1922 in Fresco ; † August 9, 2001 ) was Archbishop of Gagnoa .

Life

Noël Kokora-Tekry was ordained a priest on January 9, 1949 .

Paul VI appointed him on March 11, 1971 Bishop of Gagnoa . The former bishop of Gagnoa, Jean Marie Etrillard SMA , consecrated him on May 30 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Eugène Abissa Kwaku , Bishop of Abengourou , and Augustin Sagna , Bishop of Ziguinchor .

John Paul II raised the diocese to archbishopric on December 19, 1994 and thus he was appointed Archbishop of Gagnoa. On May 15, 2001, the Pope accepted his age-related resignation.
