Noël de Cleene CICM (born February 15, 1870 in Nieuwkerken-Waas , Belgium , † October 7, 1942 ) was a Belgian Roman Catholic religious and apostolic vicar of Léopoldville .

Life

Noël de Cleene joined the religious order of the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at and received on 18 December 1892, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 18, 1924, Pope Pius XI appointed him . as titular bishop of Usula and coadjutor vicar of Léopoldville. The Archbishop of Mechelen , Désiré-Joseph Cardinal Mercier , donated him episcopal ordination on February 24, 1925 ; Co- consecrators were the bishop of Ghent , Emiel-Jan Seghers , and the auxiliary bishop in Mechelen, Antoine Alphonse de Wachter . In February 1926, de Cleene was succeeded by the resigned François Camille Van Ronslé CICM Vicar Apostolic of Léopoldville.

Noël de Cleene resigned as Vicar Apostolic of Léopoldville on July 20, 1932.
