Wadym Archyptschuk
Wadym Antonowytsch Archyptschuk ( Ukrainian Вадим Антонович Архипчук , English transcription Vadym Arkhypchuk; born July 6, 1937 in Kiev ; † January 15, 1973 ibid.) Was a Ukrainian sprinter who raced for the Soviet Union .
At the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, he reached the quarter-finals over 200 m .
In 1962 he retired from the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade over 400 m in the semi-finals and in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary run.
At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1964 he was seventh in the 4 x 400 meter relay and reached the quarter-finals over 400 m .
He was four times Soviet champion over 400 m .
