action

The film follows a handful of young people from different social classes who move through Paris in pairs or alone, on foot or in the metro. They throw cell phones in the trash, book hotel rooms and collect parcels; they seem to be following a coordinated plan. Soon afterwards, explosives apparently laid by them explode in a wing of the Ministry of the Interior, in the premises of a bank building in La Défense and in several parked cars at Palais Brongniart, the multi-country exchange in Paris. They shoot the President of HSBC Europe and set fire to the statue of the heroine of freedom Joan of Arc on the Place des Pyramides. The young people quickly head for their agreed meeting point, a luxury department store in the middle of the city center just before the shop closes, and want to hide there with their accomplice in the security staff until the air is clear. They spend several hours in the consumer palace, partying, playing, indulging in the goods for their pleasure and going through emotional highs and lows. Finally, the department store is stormed by a police special task force, and the whole group is shot.
