Nocturnal is a Thrash Metal band that was founded in Rosenfeld in 2000. The band plays riff- heavy traditional Thrash Metal in the tradition of bands like Destruction , Assassin , Living Death , Sodom , Iron Angel , Exumer and Kreator .

biography

The band was founded in 2000 after the breakup of Bestial Desecration by their last remaining founding member Avenger as a one-man band. In the founding year, their first demo recording, Rites of the Black Mass , was released. In late 2000, Avenger met Skull Crusher, who became the band's second guitarist and singer. Together they played four songs from December 2000 to February 2001, two of which were released on the single Slaughter Command . In mid-2001 the singer Metallic Mayhem and the drummer Hellbastard joined the band, which in turn split from Skull Crusher; he is now playing at Fleshcrawl . With this line-up, the band played five songs in November 2001, which appeared on the EP Thrash with the Devil in early 2002 . In the meantime, Jex (ex-Vexed) joined Nocturnal as second guitarist and Vomitor as bassist. In early April 2003, the band went back to the studio and recorded the single Fire of Revenge , which was released a year later with a delay. Between the recordings and the release, the band separated again from Jex.

The band then played their concerts with a single guitar, with Avenger recording the tracks for two guitars in the studio. The band finished the songs for their debut album Arrival of the Carnivore , signed with From Beyond Productions from the Netherlands and recorded the album in June / July 2004 at Toxomusic ( Desaster , Metalucifer , Decayed ). The album was designed by Kris Verwimp. The CD version was released via From Beyond Productions and the LP as a license press via Deathstrike Records.

In 2008 the line-up changed again. Shortly after the arrival of the new singer Tyrannizer, the second album Violent Revenge was recorded again in the Toxomusic studio . Because of the success of the Temple of Sin music video , which was viewed over 40,000 times on YouTube, the band decided to shoot another for their second album.
