The Nonnenstromberg ( 335.9 m above sea level ) is an elevation in the Siebengebirge near Thomasberg , a district of Königswinter in the Rhein-Sieg district , North Rhine-Westphalia .
The Nonnenstromberg is the neighboring mountain to the east of the Petersberg, which is approximately the same height ( 335.9 m above sea level ). This is how the name of the Nonnenstromberg can be derived: the Petersberg is also known under the name "Stromberg". Various legends tell of nuns and hermits who sought protection on the mountain during the crusades.
The elongated summit ridge of the Nonnenstromberg is striking, at the east end of which there is a lookout point that offers a good view of the Great Mount of Olives .
The Einkehrhaus Waidmannsruh restaurant is located at the foot of the Nonnenstromberg .
