Nootamaa is an Estonian island in the Baltic Sea . It represents the westernmost point of Estonia.
Location and description
Nootamaa is about a kilometer southwest of Loonalaid Island . The area of the island is 5.8 hectares.
Nootamaa belongs administratively to the rural community Saaremaa in the Saare district .
The uninhabited island is part of the Vilsandi National Park . Fauna and flora are under nature protection. There are 132 different plant species on the island. The island is also known as a breeding colony for birds.
