Nora Elisabeth Miedler (born December 28, 1977 in Vienna ; † December 11, 2018 ) was an Austrian writer and actress .

Life

Nora Miedler studied acting at the Vienna Conservatory and worked as an actress until her daughter was born. In addition to an episode role in Inspector Rex , she has worked at theaters in Austria and Switzerland (including Bernhard Theater Zurich , Theater Winterthur, Seefestspiele Mörbisch , Stadttheater Mödling , Theater Rabenhof, Liechtenstein Castle). She played Molière and Shakespeare , Sartre , Neil Simon , Nestroy and took part in operettas .

Miedler was a member of the Syndikat , an association of German-speaking crime writers. She died in December 2018, shortly before her 41st birthday, after a serious illness. Her grave is in the Neustift cemetery in Vienna.

Motifs from Waiting for Poirot were used in 2013 for the screenplay for the television film Blutsschwestern (ORF) and Die Tote in der Berghütte (ZDF) in coproduction with ZDF and ORF , directed by Thomas Roth .
