Norbert-Jean Mahé (born July 12, 1903 , † after 1953) was a French racing driver .

Racing career

Norbert-Jean Mahé began motor sports in the 1930s and was successful in sports car races . In 1934 he contested his first Le Mans 24-hour race , which he and Jean Desvignes finished ninth overall in a Bugatti Type 44 . At the finish line, the duo was 22 laps behind the winners Luigi Chinetti and Philippe Étancelin in the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 . In the same year he won the Spa 10-hour race with Desvignes . He celebrated further successes with fourth place at the Grand Prix de la Marne in 1935 and 11th place at the 3-hour race in Marseille in 1936 .

With the resumption of the Le Mans event in 1949 , Mahé resumed its racing activities after the Second World War . Until 1953 he drove a total of seven times in Le Mans. Ninth place in 1934 remained his best result in the final classification.
