Chmelowe ( Ukrainian Хмельове ; Russian Хмелевое Chmelewoje ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kirovohrad with about 2600 inhabitants (2004).
The village, founded in the middle of the 18th century, is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in Mala Wyska district , which also includes the villages of Sapashka ( Запашка , ⊙ ) with about 50 inhabitants, Kalakolowe ( Калаколове , ⊙ ) with about 160 inhabitants and Novopavlivka ( Новопавлівка , ⊙ ) with about 360 inhabitants.
Chmelowe is located on the bank of the Kylten ( Кильтень ), a 39 km long tributary of the Welyka Wys and on the highway M 12 / E 50 about 28 km southwest of the district center Mala Wyska and about 70 km west of the oblast center Kropywnyzkyj .
